Yeah, you know you're one of us.

We are crafters. And some of us- not all of us, mind you, but a good portion of us- are also "Craft Hoarders."

That means that we are saving that special embellishment for something so special that we probably will never use it.

That means that we have a piece of patterned paper that we are afraid of cutting into because we don't want to mess it up.

That means that we have a bag of craft supplies that we bought on clearance....and left it in the bag, unused, only to find it days...weeks...even months later.

Yeah, we're Craft Hoarders. And we're kinda OK with that. Follow along to gawk at fellow CH's hauls, spaces, and stuff.

Because we're nosy, too.....

  2. Oh, so true! It's taken me years to force myself to use something I've had for years waiting for that special item to make with it! So glad there are others like this out there too! :)

  4. what about all those tiny scraps of paper left over from a project that you think you will use one day - except you never remember you have them or they are too small! Very guilty of hoarding! Nice to be reminded I'm not alone lol!

  6. So guilty here, too! Even my Mom says I'm a hoarder. My husband agrees, but in a softer voice!
This is going to be a FUN place to be! Thanks, Jenny. We needed this!

  8. my mom hates my craft crap. I have to hide things on my way into the house, or bring them in when she is gone. Iam 51 and she is 70. It's sad....

  11. oh, the rubbermaid bins full of treasures. If the local Jo-anns were to burn down, I'm pretty sure I could re-stock it. well, except for the yarn. Ive never liked the feel of yarn on my fingers, so I don't knit or crochet. I do love a crocheted sweater though if anybody wants to make one in size tent, lol. Any other crafting material, including those not formally recognized by less creative sorts than our kind....I've got it stashed away somewhere. Two questions....where's everybody from, and does anybody else do Pinterest?

  12. ... and when working on a project, we buy that extra yard of fabric, that extra spool of ribbon, that extra bit of whatever... just in case our calculations are wrong, we run out, and the store doesn't carry it anymore. And when we don't need it for this project, it gets "lovingly" tucked away until we find a use for it...

  13. Woohoo!! I've found my People! I knew you were all out there. What did I buy on Cyber Monday...well of course a huge shelving unit to hold my supplies....and a crochet pattern, but I'm sure I have the yarn to make it....somewhere...and I probably have the right size hook(s) because I always put them some place where I can find them again..well usually! So happy there's a gathering place now for all of us Crafting hoarders.

  14. my biggest problem is with fabric. i am so afraid to cut into and make something because i might find something that would be perfect with that fabric later on.

  16. Well I have certainly found a place I can completely relate to! Every word fits me to a T, and I have could not said it better. My husband is very understanding but my adult children, not so much. Things are scattered lovingly in various areas as I still cannot dedicate a room to crafting...yet.
